The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Europe will launch a Christ-centered Easter campaign on Friday, March 23, 2018. The “Always There” initiative is expected to reach millions through social media, postcards, and internet sites.
The campaign raises the question: How has the Saviour been there for you? A video available in 23 languages features Mormons from around Europe sharing how Jesus Christ has been there for them through times of trial and joy. The hashtag #alwaysthere is a central component of the campaign.
Paul V Johnson, President of the Europe Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said about the upcoming Easter initiative: “Our hope is to expose our brothers and sisters to the message of Christ’s eternal mission and the fact that regardless of who we are and where we may live: He is always there.”
“It was most gratifying to see the area’s recent Christmas Campaign reach 17 million people, 6 million views, and over half a million ‘reactions’ on our Facebook pages. Yet what is Christmas without Easter?” said Brian Cordray, Europe Area Publishing Services Manager.
The Europe Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints contains over 40 countries and stretches as far north as the Nordic countries and as far south as Spain and Cape Verde.
Europe Area’s Digital Media Producer, Rita Somfai, said, “We hope that with this campaign people can be reminded of a time when the Saviour’s presence and divine help was felt their lives.”
The campaign is intended to encourage believers in Christ reach out to and connect with people through discussion of how the Savior has been there for them in their lives.
Cordray adds, “Our hope with this campaign is to show that the Lord’s atonement makes Him a daily part of our lives and that He truly is there for us.”
The campaign will run for a 10-day period. More details about how to get involved with the campaign will be available in this site, upon March 23rd, or through local congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
