IRISH CHURCH LEADERS ATTEND NATIONAL DAY OF COMMEMORATION

On Sunday, 9th July, Ireland's National Day of Commemoration which honours all Irish people who died in past wars or United Nations peacekeeping missions, was marked in a number of events around the country.
The main ceremony, attended by government, civic and religious leaders from throughout Ireland, was held in Dublin at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.
Presidents Bernard O'Farrell and David Roy, respectively the Church's ecclesiastical leaders in the Leinster and Munster areas, were both in the audience and were able to meet briefly with the recently elected Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar TD.
