New Mormon video calls for Environmental Stewardship

Mormon Newsroom

The Earth is much more than mere matter. Much more than something to be consumed. It is our home. Full of wonders, mysteries and breathtaking views. Intended to enliven our minds and our spirits. Our responsibility is to take care of and cherish our home. We are stewards, not owners.

This inspiring message is at the heart of a new video published on the Mormon Channel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The video was made with footage from those following the Mormon Channel on YouTube and other social media.

“The state of the human soul and the environment are interconnected, with each affecting and influencing the other,” the narrator voice says while images of nature and heartening music call for the viewer’s attention.

The video concludes with a verse from the Old Testament book of Genesis (chapter 1, verse 31): “And God saw everything that he made and, behold, it was very good.”
