Final 2020 Rising Gen: Europe Broadcast showcases service performed around Europe

The final 2020 Rising Gen: Europe broadcast for the youth and young adults across Europe will air on September 5th at 19:00 CEST on the Area’s official Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube pages of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The broadcast will be available in 22 languages and is “made for the young people of Europe by the young people of Europe.”

The familiar hosts of the show, Iréne Kabongo from Belgium and Ben Warner from the UK, will be joined in the studio by Elder Erich W. Kopischke, second counselor in the Europe Area Presidency, and Elder Alan Phillips, an Area Seventy from the U.K. The show will also include missionaries serving in Croatia and Serbia, video profiles from different countries, and two special musical performances.

The participants will discuss how the Rising Generation is making a difference in today’s world by the manner they exemplify and live the gospel of Jesus Christ in normal and natural ways. Elder Kopischke explained, “This movement will attract people, especially those outside our faith, because they will want to know ‘why?’ Many will want to see what we see and feel what we feel and then they will want to join and be part of it.”

For those unable to watch the broadcast live, the full recording will be available for later viewing on the Church’s official social media pages throughout Europe.
