Countdown to General Conference: 15 Days of the 15 Apostles’ Insights

FRANKFURT—Starting September 23rd, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints can review one apostle’s address from the last General Conference in April daily leading up to the next General Conference on October 5th and 6th. Thus, members can better prepare for the 189th semiannual conference.

One short clip will be released on social media in twenty-one languages for fifteen days. The videos are intended to excite members to hear from modern apostles again at General Conference in October.

“We hope these videos inspire viewers to make the most of General Conference; to spiritually prepare for conference ahead of time, to have questions ready, and to watch all of the sessions,” explains Stuart Timon, a digital media producer in the Europe Area Church Publishing Services Department.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is organized with a prophet at the head, his two counselors, and twelve apostles. All fifteen are considered modern apostles, or “special witnesses” of Jesus Christ, by faithful Church members. At the conference, participants will sustain the First Presidency, the Twelve Apostles, and all other Church authorities.

Members of the Church consider conference an important event because they have the opportunity to hear from these Church leaders, who they believe receive direct guidance from God.

The 189th semiannual conference will be broadcast October 5th and 6th from Salt Lake City, Utah. The First Presidency, the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and other General Authorities and leaders will share inspiration over those two days.
